We had a really great day participating in the Ricardo Barros Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Grand Opening Training Day and BBQ on Saturday, 1/16/10. First, we at Crispim BJJ Barra Brothers would like to congratulate RBBJJ and Ricardo and his family on the successes they have experienced in developing an academy that promotes team, family and top level Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Their successes are well earned and deserved which is why they were able to move to a much bigger academy so that they can teach BJJ and the meaning of team and family to more people in their community. Secondly, I would like to thank all of the team from Crispim BJJ who attended and showed their support for our brother. The training was incredible and the positive energy that was present yesterday was overwhelming. Family, great training and instruction, support, and positive energy- this is what Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is about! Also, I would like to thank my fellow brothers and Black Belts for being there and providing instruction for our group. We had 5 Black Belts on the mat yesterday and I think it is safe to say that we ALL learned something yesterday. Besides Alexander Crispim and Ricardo Barros, Carlos “Sapao” from Ocean Beach Barra Brothers was there (with many of his students), and Fabio “Pateta” Prado (from Ultimate Fitness in Sacramento/Urijah Faber) and Leonardo “GloGlo”. It was a great day, and we at Crispim BJJ Barra Brothers wish Ricardo Barros Brazilian Jiu Jitsu all of the successes possible.
We are posting some pictures, but many more will follow.
