Crispim BJJ Barra Brothers in Pleasanton is proud to have Jeremiah Labiano as a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Instructor and the MMA Fitness (Fight Shape & MMA G&P) Instructor. He is also a personal fitness trainer.Jeremiah has been training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with Alexander Crispim since 2008 and is currently a purple belt. Jeremiah met Crispim through a friend who trained with Crispim for several years. Jeremiah’s friend used to teach him moves in his living room and after awhile, he decided it was time to begin training in Jiu-Jitsu in a more formal environment. His friend eventually introduced him to Alexander Crispim, and Jeremiah says, “I instantly fell in love with the sport.” Jeremiah has also trained in Muay Thai for several years at True Fight Club, but now trains exclusively at Crispim BJJ with Coaches Allan Maravilla (for stand up) and Alexander Crispim (for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu).
Jeremiah states, “The reasons why I continue to train are because I love to constantly learn and I’m a competitive person. I love to compete! I have the mentality that there’s always someone out there who’s better than me so I have to stay on top of my game at all times. Also, I feel like no matter how far I make it, I’m always going to be a student for life because there’s always something new to learn and that’s why I love this martial art.”
Jeremiah was employed as a personal trainer at Bally Total Fitness in Fremont prior to joining Crispim BJJ Barra Brothers. He specialized in overall fitness training for all fitness levels with clients ranging in ages from 14-65. Jeremiah adds, “The reason why I choose to do personal training is because I’m passionate about fitness and I thought it would be fun helping others achieve their goals and to make fitness a lifestyle like I’ve done for myself.”
In Jeremiah’s free time, he enjoys working out, spending time with his friends and family and playing professional paintball. He has played on several professional Paintball teams for the past 5 years such as the OC Bushwackers and Oakland BLAST.
Jeremiah brings a high level of skill, experience and positive energy to Crispim BJJ and his students. His classes are designed to teach specific skills in Muay Thai, Boxing, Fitness and Jiu-Jitsu and are high energy and a great total body workout.
