* Blue to Purple – 2 Years
* Purple to Brown - 1 1/2 Years
* Brown to Black – 1 Year
It is up to the Instructor to decide how long it takes for a student to be graded, as long as the minimum time required for each belt is fulfilled.
CHILDREN’S BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU:
At Crispim BJJ, intermediate belts are awarded to student’s under the age of 16 years. Intermediate belts fall between the solid belts. The progression is: white, gray or white with yellow stripe (depending on age), yellow, yellow with orange stripe, orange, orange with green stripe, green, and green with blue stripe. Each of these belts have five levels: clear belt plus 4 degrees/stripes. Stripes/Degrees are used to gauge the student’s progress through each belt level.
