Crispim BJJ Trains in Downtown Pleasanton

This past Wednesday night, Alexander Crispim and many of the team members of Crispim BJJ were at the 1st Wednesday Street Party in Downtown Pleasanton.  We had a lot of fun and met many new people.  Quite a few of our young teammates volunteered their time to do demonstrations and showcase their skills and abilities.  We were very proud of them and they all did a great job.  We thank all of you who came and supported our team so that we may help others see, learn about and experience Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.   And thank you to all of the Pleasanton residents who stopped by and are interested in learning more about our programs.  Please come by and visit the academy and try some classes.

This is just another example of how incredible our team is and the phenomenal support that each of you offers our academy and team.

Also, we will be having our 1st Anniversary and Belt Promotions BBQ Party on Saturday, July 31st at the academy.  As we get closer, we will post more information about the days festivities, but… you can expect great food, lots of friends and family, and a team picture.   We hope everyone will be there.

Congratulations to Ricardo Barros Brazilian Jiu Jitsu!

We had a really great day participating in the Ricardo Barros Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Grand Opening Training Day and BBQ on Saturday, 1/16/10.  First, we at Crispim BJJ Barra Brothers would like to congratulate RBBJJ and Ricardo and his family on the successes they have experienced in developing an academy that promotes team, family and top level Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.  Their successes are well earned and deserved which is why they were able to move to a much bigger academy so that they can teach BJJ and the meaning of team and family to more people in their community.  Secondly, I would like to thank all of the team from Crispim BJJ who attended and showed their support for our brother.    The training was incredible and the positive energy that was present yesterday was overwhelming.  Family, great training and instruction, support, and positive energy- this is what Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is about!  Also, I would like to thank my fellow brothers and Black Belts for being there and providing instruction for our group.  We had 5 Black Belts on the mat yesterday and I think it is safe to say that we ALL learned something yesterday.  Besides Alexander Crispim and Ricardo Barros, Carlos “Sapao” from Ocean Beach Barra Brothers was there (with many of his students), and Fabio “Pateta” Prado (from Ultimate Fitness in Sacramento/Urijah Faber) and Leonardo “GloGlo”.  It was a great day, and we at Crispim BJJ Barra Brothers wish Ricardo Barros Brazilian Jiu Jitsu all of the successes possible.

We are posting some pictures, but many more will follow.
